Benefit for Chicago’s Hurricane Aid for Puerto Rican Arts at SRBCC

Spektral Quartet partners with MacArthur and Guggenheim fellow Miguel Zenón for an immersive, concert-length work inspired by the culture of Zenón’s native Puerto Rico. “Yo Soy la Tradición” is much more than a collection of dances designed to get you moving: it is a heartfelt, insider-tour of a rich cultural landscape.  All proceeds from this event benefit the Chicago Hurricane Aid for Puerto Rican Arts. Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center is honored to host the world CD release of this amazing project taking place Friday, September 21.
