Motel Baja includes guest performances by Kraftwerk’s Wolfgang Flur, Tom Tom Club and Atom (Senor Coconut). It’s not only their final album together, it also marks the end of their Border Trilogy which includes Bulevar 2000 and Tijuana Sound Machine.

Ramon Amezcua (Bostich) and Pepe Mogt (Fussible), two of the founding members of the Nortec Collective, have toured across the world as a duo and individually. A few years ago we had the pleasure of watching Pepe Mogt perform in Chicago when he headlined a showcase at Abbey Pub as part of FMEL.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of Nortec Collective first releasing the genre of music they invented in the bordertown of Tijuana. Although we’re sad to know they will no longer be releasing music together, we’re hopeful and excited about the possibilities for new projects by each artist.

Bostich+Fussible are currently on tour and will be part of the Supersonico festival debut in Los Angeles on October 11.
