A Gozadera Phenomenon: Los Amigos Invisibles

Screaming and adoring fans welcomed Los Amigos Invisibles to Chicago with a packed house at Joe’s on Weed St. Founding members Julio Briceño, Jose Rafael Torres and Juan Manuel Roura led our invisible friends on a return visit after having visited us last summer at Ruido Fest.

Presenting the latest release El Paradise, Amigos gave us a run through of their 26-year musical career with hits like “Mi Vecina,” “Sexy,” “La Que Me Gusta,” and tracks off the new album. The show was non-stop gozadera – a live band party concert at its best.

The new album “El Paradise” is a departure from Los Amigos previous work in that it includes collaborations with artists like Kinky, Elastic Bond, Autenticos Decadentes and Oscar D’Leon, an artist who Julio Briceño’s own mother helped secure for the album.

Interestingly enough, after a decline of record labels in Venezuela, Los Amigos started their own label, Gozadera Records (licensed through LOV/RECS). لعبة بلاك جاك تحميل This in-house venture is headed-up by Julio Briceño’s mom, whose experience in the music industry has made her both savvy and qualified enough to pull the strings needed to help launch and manage this project. ربح المال من الانترنت

Recording of “El Paradise” was an important endeavor that kept Los Amigos Invisibles on office hours, hitting the studio every day at 10:00 am, but not before making a pit stop at a liquor store for a bottle of rum to accompany them throughout the day. As the story goes, their own admitted craziness gave the name to their track “Aqui Nadie Esta Sano,” featuring Los Autenticos Decadentes. (Source: CNN)

Los Amigos Invisibles originally began as part of another band back in the late 80’s. But the music they played did not click with Julio and friends. After some drinks and conversation with a colleague in the music business, the band decided it needed to break far-away from the stereotypical tropical music coming out of Venezuela and Latin America while keeping the same cheerful vibe that the music was known for. Hence, in the early 90s, a new band named “Los Amigos Invisibles” was born.

After 12 albums, our invisible friends continue the hard work. In addition to “El Paradise” released in early 2017, an album of remixes was released in December and titled “El Paradise Extended. كيفية ربح المال ” This complimentary LP includes 11 alternate versions of tracks off the original album, including an extended version of “Esperame” (featuring Elastic Bond), a song which has become a viral hit, gathering 1.6 million views as of the time of this writing.
