More about Kathy Palma
“Born in Guatemala City and musically raised both in Guatemala City and Miami, singer-songwriter Kathy Palma began playing music at age 11. Although her debut “Ella Es” EP will be released via ONErpm during the first half of 2020, she has already been creating a buzz in the songwriting and artistic community. Collaborators have thus far included multi-Grammy®-winning writer-producer, Sebastián de Peyrecave (Alejandro Sanz, Kany García, Marc Anthony), multi-Grammy®-nominated writer-producer, Diego Contento (Pedro Capó feat. Farruko, Jesse & Joy, Sofía Reyes), multi-award-winning singer-songwriter, Christian Pagán, and multi-award-winning writer-producer, Bruno Danzza (Cosmos Producciones), among others.
Over the years, her style has evolved into a fusion of folk and soul with hints of other genres as well. Although it is a fusion, she has developed a very unique sound due to her Latin roots and inclination towards lyrics pertaining self-awareness and discovery.
Today, she composes both in Spanish and English. Kathy is the epitome of the contemporary singer-songwriter’s new definition: there are no cultural or genre barriers that limit the work that she does as writer and performer.”
