Villapalooza is pleased to announce the 8th annual Villapalooza: Little Village Music Festival, taking place Saturday, August 25th, from 12–10pm in Little Village (26th Street and Central Park Avenue). Villapalooza is a free, all-ages, world music and arts festival featuring over 50 local food vendors, craft vendors, community organization resource tables and activities for families and children. In addition, the festival showcases over 25 performers across three stages.
Villapalooza will feature two stages highlighting both local talent and internationally acclaimed musicians. A third stage will showcase local House and Dance music DJs curated by Little Village’s own DJGreedy.
Headlining the festival’s three stages will be the Peruvian Legends of Psychedelic Amazon Cumbia, Los Mirlos (Lima, Peru), musical duo from Houston Texas, Gio Chamba, (Houston TX) psychedelic cumbia punk band, Tropa Magica (East Los Angeles, CA), and nationally acclaimed ska band, Matamoska (East Los Angeles, CA). Also, performing will be ThroughNThrough, Malafacha, LV, Louie Mendez Madera Once, Tamborazo El Pueblo, Dj MozDef, Dj Rocko, Tony Technics , Vince Melo, and many more!
