The Circus for the Punk Rock in All of Us

As a self proclaimed punk writer, it is with great pleasure that I share with you news of El Circo Cheapo-Chicago’s premiere punk circus.  Welcome to Fulton Carroll Center in a very fittingly named Empowerment Zone on the West Side.  By day, it appears to be a vacant, run of the mill warehouse at the corner of Damen and Carroll, but by every first Saturday of the month the loft at 2041 is transformed into a bona fide circus extravaganza!

**Quotes/interview with founder and/or MC Carmen Esposito**  Ask questions about background and origin of El Circo

This truly one of a kind experience is must see for anyone who loves to bring their own beverage to an intimate, circus themed party, kick back with a cool crowd, and enjoy live trapeze artists, jugglers, mystique, and the like.  Super fun, charismatic “Ring Mistress” Carmen Esposito navigates your ride through the most fun you’ll have at the circus, well…ever.  You won’t want to go to a “traditional” circus ever again (if you even wanted to go there in the first place…lame!).

El Circo Cheapo happens the 1st Saturday of every month @ 7 PM and 10 PM (April 3 show at 7 PM show is sold out)
Tickets are available via website: www.elcircocheapo.com $10 (+ encouraged donations at the end of the show)  Well worth it!
2041 W. Carroll, Chicago, IL

Next available show is May 1, so plan accordingly. http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/90546

  1. I’m really feeling this. Always need excuses to head to the city, and this looks like fun!
