(Press Release)

Red Bull Sound Select – an artist development program that works with the best curators in local music scenes to bring fans unique shows – just announced the next installment of their Sound Select Presents: Chicago show for 2017, curated by TusSoni2On Thursday, July 20th, Enjambre will headline the first all Latin show for RBSS Chicago at Concord Music Hall (2047 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647) with Red Bull Sound Select artists Porter and The Avantist.

The show is only $5 with RSVP, $15 without. The RSVP link can be found here: http://win.gs/JulyChi.

Enjambre consists of Luis Humberto Navejas, Rafael Navejas, and Julián Navejas who were all born in Orange County, raised in Zacatecas, Mexico, and came of age in California. They relocated to Mexico City, where their unique fusion of classic and Latin rock collided to become gold record material in Mexico as well as all across Latin America.  They are currently on tour supporting their sixth studio album “Imperfecto Extraño.”

Based in Guadalajara, Mexico, Porter is a well-known indie rock band whose latest 2015 album “Moctezuma” was voted one of the top ten Latin albums by Rolling Stone.  Known for their experimental and expansive approach to indie rock accompanied by lush, soaring vocals, Porter recently released a new single Cuxillo, that explores the relationship between humanity and its effects on the planet.

Rounding out the roster is Chicago based The Avantist, a local alt rock band consisting of the four Arias brothers – Fernado, Erick, David and Luis. Citing wide ranging sources like Café Tacuba, System of a Down, Mars Volta, as well as their father who was a mariachi performer and later a DJ for Latin radio stations, The Avantist will be delivering a rowdy performance incorporating songs from their latest self-titled LP launched in September 2016 as part of their Midwest tour this summer.
