“The first time that we heard Os Mutantes, we were amazed by something so fresh and profoundly different than anything we’d ever listened to before,” said the producers of El Justiciero Cha Cha Cha. An album dedicated to the pioneers of Rock ‘n’ Roll. استراتيجيات الروليت

NPR has launched a streaming of the tribute album on their website until November 9. The tribute album is a collection of artists contributing their renditions of their influences. Included in the album are artists from Spain and most of Latin America. Including justiciero musicians such as  Café Tacvba, Fito Páez, Aterciopelados and some guitars provided by the one of the original founders, Sergio Días. موقع المراهنات

Produced by Manuel Onís, Humphrey Inzillo and Arthur De Faria ascendants of the Os Mutantes where inspired by the ‘fresh and profoundly different than anything,’ they’d ever heard. Their album El Justiciero Cha Cha Cha, is what they describe to be a work of many years and well worth doing to pay homage to these artists.

Os Mutantes was formed in 1966 by two brothers Arnaldo Baptista and Sergio Días with Rita Lee when they were just in their 20’s. Orchestrating a sound that at their time had yet to be touched. Experimenting with folkloric, tropicalia and psychedelic rock they added conscious lyrics that clearly touched base with their audience. The groups 20 year long career gained global recognition and made its way onto influence artists in the Latin music industry as much as  Americans like Kurt Cobain, Beck, David Byrne and others. During the 70’s the group went into exile due to threats from the Brazilian government but got back together in 2006, and went on to release their last studio recording in 2009.

‘El Justiciero, Cha, Cha, Cha’ will be released just as Os Mutantes set out on thei U.S. tour.
