NEW: BOMBA ESTÉREO “Quimica” Music Video

Bomba Estéreo have released the official music video for their new single “Quimica (Dance With Me).”

“Quimica” features a riff by Bomba’s longtime friends Balkan Beat Box. The video was directed by the Dutch filmmaker Femke Huurdeman and produced by CANADA. Femke explains, “The concept for ‘Química’ is built on the scientific side of the song’s meaning. The women in the video act like molecules, sometimes attached, sometimes apart. It is about connecting, reacting and adding different substances and bodies together to create magic.”

New Bomba album ‘Ayo’ is available now in both digital and physical formats. “‘Ayo’ was born in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, one of the most powerful places in the world,” the band’s founder Simon Mejia says. “The album title is a tribute to that magical place. A spiritual ceremony opened the path to this album. It returns to the Caribbean sonic roots of Bomba Estéreo while at the same time, keeps looking at the world with open eyes and open ears, taking risks on new paths.”

‘Ayo’ is the group’s 5th studio album, following the breakthrough success of its last album ‘Amanecer,’ which was certified Latin Gold by the RIAA in the U.S. The album brought the band numerous accolades including a GRAMMY nomination, the collaboration “Fiesta (Remix Ft. Will Smith)” and the anthem “Soy Yo.”
