Multi-platinum performers Los Tigres Del Norte and Alejandro Fernandez are joining forces with DREAM Big Nevada to offer seats to Dreamers at each show during their 2018 ROMPIENDO FRONTERAS (‘BREAKING BORDERS’) U.S. TOUR- an extensive late summer and fall tour across the United States. The tour hits Chicago on Friday, November 16th at Allstate Arena. Tix available here.
Additionally, they will be sharing the courageous stories of many of these dreamers on their socials throughout the tour and in concert.
In making the announcement on their socials over the weekend, both artists issued a joint statement saying, “We are very proud and excited to inform you that for the #RompiendoFronteras tour we will be working hand in hand with the Dream Big Nevada organization to support the #DREAMers and bring this important message to our entire audience. We will have a special section for #DREAMers in each of the tour cities so they can enjoy our concerts.
In the following weeks we will share the stories of these incredible people who will be part of this great project. Join us on this tour so we can make history and let the #DREAMers’ voices be heard! #RompiendoFronteras @cmnevents @alexoficial @lostigresdelnorte
Dreamers can apply for tickets @ Dreambignv.org on the #RompiendoFronteras tab and will be asked to answer a few simple questions, including their age and year of arrival in the U.S. and country of origin.
Dream Big Nevada was founded in 2017 to provide aid to Nevada’s immigrant families through direct services and by empowering community members to advocate for themselves and others in similar situations. Founder Astrid Silva, herself a Dreamer, has been recognized as a leader on social justice issues (LA Times feature).
Silva came to the United States with her parents when she was four years old and has since earned three associate degrees from the College of Southern Nevada and a bachelor’s degree from Nevada State College.
Sure to be one of the top Latin music tours of the year, the 2018 ROMPIENDO FRONTERAS U.S. TOUR will be produced by CMN Events, and will kick-off August 23 at The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The will visit a total of 20 U.S. cities, including Miami, Houston, San Jose, Boston, San Antonio, Washington DC, El Paso, Dallas and more – concluding November 18 in Denver (see tour dates and ticket details below).
