Camilo Lara is the producer behind Instituto Mexicáno del Sonido, one of the most outstanding voices of the latino electronic scene. “Politico” is his latest album, an explicit social critique of the current situation in Mexico. His music is influenced by countless contemporary genres and popular figures, and is alway portraying his own postcard of Mexico by referencing places, people and the latino lifestyle. Camilo also expresses his flair for improvisation and a synthesized aesthetic: “I love being a dj. I can drop beats, cumbias and make every night a particular dj set. I never I bring anything planned, being a DJ I have to read the people moods every night.”
