This Sunday, June 20th, is Father’s Day. Father’s Day has been celebrated in the United States since the early 1900s, but no one seems to agree on who actually started the holiday. There are varying accounts on who had the original idea, but it is a fact that Lyndon B. Johnson made Father’s Day an official holiday in 1966. Unlike Mother’s Day, flowers and greeting cards are not the main gifts given to our paternal parents. No, no Father’s Day slings bad-ass power tools, electronics, and other manly toys.
