Last week I posted two recipes for homemade Gatorade. bwin It’s a great way to naturally replenish your electrolytes whether you are depleted from imbibing or intense exercise.
As a health coach, I wouldn’t typically recommend morning drinks if you have already had a full evening, but sometimes hair of the dog is…is…just what’s going to happen. So how can you get the most out of your morning drink? بينجو العاب
The base of a bloody mary is tomato juice (or V8–at least you will be getting some much-needed vitamins out of it). I prefer my drink to be spicy and have some serious flavor so the horseradish and hot sauce are key. The green chili and Worcestershire give this depth while the squeeze of lime freshens it up.
If you are going to indulge the morning after, stick to just one with this yummy, spicy Green Chili Bloody Mary. You might want to follow that up with a glass of natural gatorade too.
Green Chili Bloody Mary
- 6 oz tomato juice
- 2 oz vodka or tequila
- 3 Tbls Green Chili Salsa Verde
- 1 Tbls Worcestershire sauce
- 1.5 tsp fresh or prepared horseradish
- 1 Tbls hot sauce (not sriracha in this one case)
- 2 lime wedges
- fresh cracked black pepper
- coarse salt
- toppers: Olive, pickles, celery
On a plate or in a shallow bowl add fresh cracked black pepper and a few good shakes of coarse salt. Use the lime to wet the rim of the glass and dip the rim of the glass in the salt and pepper to coat the rim.
Add all the ingredients except for the lime, pepper and salt into a shaker; shake well. Add ice to your glass and pour the shaken bloody Mary over the ice. Squeeze in the lime.
Add a pickle, olive or celery stalk to round out your cocktail.
