This noise-rock-San Francisco based band has been experimenting with their unique sound since its debut in 1997. Deerhoof’s awesome-weirdness has created a fanbase all over the world, and they will be in the city for second time presenting their latest album, Breakup Song.
The Men – Thursday, April 11 at Lincoln Hall
In only three years, the Brooklyn-punk band The Men has published four albums, in which they have managed to create a calmer and less distorted sound as they go, but they went through this difficult transition while keeping their rebellious nature and punk-voice.
Rufus Wainwright – Sunday, April 14th at the Old Town School of Folk Music
Wainwright’s seventh studio album Out of the Game was produced by Mark Ronson and has collaborators with artists such as Wilco, Sean Lennon and of course, the whole Wainwright family. The only problem is that the friends of the Old Town of Folk Music are charging $80 per ticket. Good for them.

The Black Crowes – April 16th and 17th at the Vic Theatre
The Black Crowes is one of the purest American rock n’ roll bands of the last two decades. Mainly influenced by blues, country, southern-rock and the classic rock style of bands like The Rolling Stones, they have left the world with unforgettable songs such as “Remedy” and “Sting Me” from their outstanding 1992 album The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion. They will be performing two dates (16th and 17th), but both are sold out.

Pissed Jeans – Thursday, April 18th at Empty Bottle
Pissed Jeans was one of the most acclaimed bands in the recent SXSW 2013. They come to the city to present their latest album, Honeys, which have brought them critical acclaim not only in the metal/hardcore publications, but also by Pitchfork, Spin and New Musical Express. Fake Limbs and Blizzard Babies will open for them.
