Press Release

Artists all across the world are working on uniting and creating benefits worldwide to help rebuild México after a 7.1 earthquake hit on September 19th. LA Loves MX: A Benefit For The Earthquake In México will take place on November 18th at Zebulon in Los Angeles and is the first of many events they plan on doing to help México. The benefit was created by Mexican singer-songwriters, Amandititita and Ceci Bastida who live in LA.

In addition Amandititita and Ceci Bastida will perform at the benefit alongside Grammy winners, La Santa Cecilia, Tomasa del Real and special DJ sets by Toy Selectah and Ulises Lozano from Kinky.

Amandititita’s father was killed in the 1985 México City earthquake. Her father, Rodrigo González, known as Rockdrigo was a musician and singer-songwriter who founded the ‘Movimiento Rupestre’, a voice-and-guitar folk music scene in México in the early 80’s.

“The situation in México is a lot more serious than what you see in the news. There are more people that have been affected and a lot more that will need to be rebuilt. This situation is an emergency, distance doesn’t exist when you can help from wherever you are. The donations raised will be donated directly to Diego Luna & Gael Garcia Bernal’s campaign, Ambulante. We chose to donate to their campaign because we have trust in them and know that the funds raised will get to those affected by the earthquake”, said Amandititita.

One hundred percent of the profits from this event will go to help rebuild México. LA Loves MX will take place at Zebulon located at 2478 Fletcher Ave in Los Angeles. November 18th. Tickets are $20 available here http://bit.ly/2z1PxO6 and $25 at the door.
