We all love Milwaukee in the summer. The weather gets nice, the sun comes out and festival season is underway.
In honor of our beloved city, Art Milwaukee, Newaukee, Do414, Local Playlist, Gozamos, Milwaukee Odyssey, Shindig, MKE BKE and Night By You teamed up to create a new Milwaukee supergroup– MKE SoundTracks as a “collaborative effort to showcase Milwaukee’s music scene.”
MKE SoundTracks is the sound track to your Milwaukee summer. We will be highlighting some of city’s best local festivals and musicians throughout the summer. Each festival is a “track” on our musical journey.
Join us as we go to various different fests with some hidden gems along the way. This summer we’ll be hitting up River Rhythms, PBR Fest in Bay View, the Lunar Music Series, and more.
First up June 9th is our Launch Party at the Miller Stables. It coincides with Milwaukee Innovation week, so expect it to be nothing short of innovative. After all how often is it that you get to party in a stable, drink free beer an hang out with some of the tastemakers of Milwaukee?
Kicking off the night will be a performance from The New Seven, a new progressive bluegrass band that made it’s debut at the Jazz Estate in April, and has been making headway in the local music scene.
Following them will be Hugh Bob & The Hustle, a new music project from members of The Wildbirds. “They are an indie-country band, hence why they would be perfect for the Miller Stables,” said Danielle Hanson from Local Playlist.
