“We’re releasing it now to offer that same support to those trying to navigate these uncertain times. We hope it can be an encouraging light to our friends, family, and community.”
In response to today’s turbulent climate, Chicago band The Luna Blues Machine announces the digital release of their latest single, I Can Do It. Taken from their most recent studio project, I Can Do It carries a positive message that fuses Latin, Folk and Hip-Hop, giving us the first glimpse into their upcoming and anticipated sophomore album. The new studio recording is now available on Apple Music, Spotify and Soundcloud.
Fronted by sisters Belinda and Maritza Cervantes, The Luna Blues Machine (LBM) has been playing Chicago’s live music scene since 2001. Their poetic lyrics and tight harmonies have been showcased at venues and festivals including The Taste of Chicago, Navy Pier, Edgefest, The Metro, and the Gathering of Nations POW WOW in Albuquerque, NM., which prompted their 2013 live album.
I Can Do It was recorded at I.V. Lab Studio–the session being LBM’s first place prize for winning Moe’s Tavern 2017 Battle of the Bands. “We originally wrote I Can Do It during a challenging period when we really needed each other’s love and support,” the sisters say.
The Luna Blues Machine is a Chicago based acoustic hip-hop, Latin, folk-soul band. Their feel-good rhythms and engaging stories help define the band’s signature sound. Most songs are originals and some songs are in Spanish.
