“Singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist of an exotic sort” is what reads on Monica Lionheart’s Twitter page. The vocalist to the Latin electronic Pacha Massiva and the electro post-punk Zigmat recently debuted an eleven-song solo album, Indian Summer. A slow and relaxed, vocally layered and instrumentally rich album, Lionheart discussed the musical process for her debut with me at the Latin Alternative Music Conference in New York. Check out the interview above.
Below is “Let Go”, the first music video to accompany the release of her album. In an interview with Latina, Lionheart is quoted on the vision of the reel: “The idea was to portray that everything that ends, starts again.”
