See below for live webcams in Puerto Vallarta and La Manzanilla, Jalisco (40 miles north of the port city of Manzanillo). While the hurricane may fluctuate in strength, is it expected to remain a category 5 hurricane. It will make landfall by 5pm CST.

The strongest hurricane ever recorded in the Western hemisphere is expected to hit Mexico’s Pacific coast, near Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo, at 4:30pm CST today. Here are facts to understand just how bad this hurricane is predicted to be:
HURRICANE PATRICIA:
• 200+ mile winds, 40+ foot waves, significant flooding
• expected to hit Mexico’s Pacific coast at 4:30pm CST
• near populous resort town Puerto Vallarta and port city of Manzanillo
• Jalisco, Colima, Nayarit in state of emergency
• Thousands being evacuated
• will affect Texas and Louisiana with flash flooding expected
• similar to 2013 typhoon in Philippines that killed 6,300 people
• last category 5 hurricane to hit Mexico was in 1959 and caused 1,800 deaths.
