Video Interview: Emilia Díaz of Creole Choir of Cuba

It was a pleasure to visit with Maestra Emilia Díaz, director and co-founder of the celebrated Creole Choir of Cuba.

The choir is formed by ten musicians from Camaguey, Cuba,  all of Haitian descendance. In fact, their name in Cuba is “Grupo Vocal Desendanns”.  They have been sharing their Haitian musical heritage with audiences world-round for nearly twenty years.
