After announcing performances in Belgium and Paris in May, David Bisbal surprised fans with the news that he’s returning to the States with a nine-city coast-to-coast tour which begins in Chicago on Feb. 10 at House of Blues. Tickets for that show are available here.
Bisbal’s romantic tropi-pop ballads, together with his vivacious personality (and those sexy dance moves), have guaranteed the Spanish artist’s global success. It’s quite obvious why he’s considered a worldwide touring sensation.
“Tengo una herida que cerrar. Tengo una herida por amor. Quiero pedirte perdón (no tienes perdón).”
Perdon, his most recent pop-reggaeton single, already has more than 70 million views on YouTube, a feat included to his 48 platinum albums and more than 70 national and international awards. His most recent single before that, A Partir De Hoy, is at the 208 million mark.
Bisbal’s musical accolades include three Grammy Latinos, three World Music Awards, three Billboard Latin Music Awards, and most recently, a Golden Music Award for his career.
And it seems Bisbal is not slowing down any time soon. Setting his sights on conquering new styles of music, the Spanish singer recently mentioned to Billboard Magazine that he’s looking to record regional Mexican music… again. “I loved singing with mariachi… and I have more surprises within regional Mexican music,” he said adding that he “really feels Mexican.”
We’re guessing his collabs with Alejandro Fernandez, Alicia Villareal and Christian Nodal, among others, rubbed off on him. ¡Órale!
While he gets ready to record that new music, and as he prepares for his upcoming tour, let’s take a look back at some of his biggest hits.
