Nancy Sanchez, Gina Chavez, and Alex Bendaña for JUNTOS TOGETHER

Celebrated L.A. singer-songwriter Nancy Sanchez teams up with Grammy Award-winning Alex Bendaña of La Santa Cecilia and Latín Grammy-nominated Gina Chávez on the song “Juntos Together,” a perfect song to guide us out of isolation and back to connecting with one another in person.

The three artists had the chance to write together for the first time during the pandemic and immediately developed a natural connection. What came next was a powerful song to lead us out of a time of isolation with a message of hope. Gina and Nancy developed synchronicity that made writing flow with ease. Alex brought the track to the group and the end result was an anthem for the ages. A special guest appearance by Pepe Carlos of La Santa Cecilia helps move this groove. “Juntos Together” is produced by Alex Bendaña, who put his production skills into action with this great collaboration.

This track is featured on the new Target campaign “Lo Que Valoramos; No Debe Costar Mas”.

Juntos Together
It’s a new day (sintiendome, sintiendome)
It’s a new age (estas vibras, tuyas, mías)
You and me will find a way (to communicate)

Juntos la vida es mejor (You and me)
Juntos perdemos el control  (unstoppable)
Siempre vamos a luchar (juntos together)

Me siento bien (I’m stronger – I’m stronger)
Cerca de ti (aprendiendo y creciendo)
Siento la electricidad (fluir por mis venas)

Juntos la vida es mejor (You and me)
Juntos perdemos el control  (unstoppable)
Siempre vamos a luchar (juntos together)

Alex Bendaña is a producer/composer/songwriter and one of the founding members of the Grammy award-winning band La Santa Cecilia. Alex was born in Caracas, Venezuela to Nicaraguan parents, his family moved to the states in search of a better future and opportunities as many immigrants do. Growing up in South Los Angeles with a diverse community, allowed him to develop a love for all types of music like Cumbia, Hip Hop, Norteño, Salsa, Motown, Ska, and Rock. At the age of twelve, Alex had his first gig with a Norteño band and was instantly hooked. He has also performed, recorded, and shared the stage with Elvis Costello, Los Lobos, John Paul Jones, Ryan Bingham, Fito Paez, Eugenia Leon, Enrique Bunbury, Ozomatli, Cafe Tacuba, Pepe Aguilar, Alejandro Sanz, Marlango, and many more. It’s an exciting time for music, especially here in the United States because of its immense diversity. Performing in front of an audience and feeling a connection with people through music, he knew he had to do this for the rest of his life.

Gina Chavez – In an industry that looks to define artists, Gina Chavez refuses to fit into a box. From features on NPR’s Tiny Desk to Brené Brown to Colbert, this queer, bilingual, genre-bending musician has become a force to be reckoned with. Gina — a truly independent recording artist — saw the fruits of her labor pay off last year where she was not only nominated for a Latin Grammy but was tapped to open the Latin Grammy premiere show with her first all-Spanish release, “La Que Manda.” Now, the Texas native can be seen everywhere as one of the faces of LifeWTR’s #LifeUnseen campaign — with her own bottle and a commercial airing nationwide. Gina has harnessed her power to make space for those who can’t be defined. From her half-Mexican, half-Swiss German raices, to her faith as a married Catholic lesbian, to her music, which she sings in both English and Spanish, the Latinx pop-rock artist is unapologetically herself — and wants that for others. Someone has to open the door, and Gina Chavez is doing just that.
