ESSO Announces New Single and Millennium Park Concert

ESSO is set to unveil their latest single “LA LUZ (Salsa version)” on Sonic Octopus Records on September 10th, 2021. The song reveals a studio recording collaboration with Chicago salsa band, Suena Latin Jazz. Together the bands recorded a salsa remix of their song LA LUZ, and release it on the heels of their announcement to play at Millennium Park’s Pritzker Pavilion on Monday, September 13th, 2021.

The evening’s concert is billed as an homage to Boricua salsa music from Chicago and is presented by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE). ESSO Afrojam Funkbeat will be opening the night at 6 pm, followed by the Grammy-nominated headliners, Angel Melendez & the 911 Mambo Orchestra. Entry is free and open to the public with updated COVID protocols in place for safety.

ESSO recently released their third vinyl album, XICAGO, on June 1st which includes LA LUZ (feat. Suena Latin Jazz). The song will be released first time on streaming platforms on September 10th, 2021, but it can be downloaded free on their Bandcamp.
