Chicago jazz and blues musician Yoko Noge will perform for hundreds of expected guests at the First Annual “Jazz for the Goose” Benefit at Andy’s Jazz Club on July 8. Newsweek Japan called her “one of the 100 most respected Japanese in the world.”
The event will raise funds for the Ovarian Cancer Symptom Awareness Organization www.ovariancancersymptomawareness.org, a 501 (c) (3) founded by Chicagoans Rick and Susan Roman and their friend, Vallie Szymanski, after Susan was diagnosed with Stage III Ovarian Cancer in August of 2009. The benefit will feature live entertainment. Susan is currently in remission from this deadly disease.
