Aloke Dutta is an extraordinary tabla player from the Bengal region of India and an important figure in modern percussion having taught many influential Western drummers including Danny Carey of Tool, Terry Bozzio, and Pat Mastelotto of King Crimson. He is an esteemed teacher, notable author, and amazing performer who, with his unique style of playing, is one of very few percussionists truly able to captivate an audience as a soloist.
