Winona LaDuke

November 10, 2016 @ 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm

Please join us for a discussion with Winona LaDuke (White Earth Ojibwe). LaDuke is one of the most prominent voices for American Indian economic and environmental concerns in the United States. Her involvement in the recent protests over the Dakota Access Pipeline is emblematic of her career as an activist, author, and public figure.

This event is part of the D’Arcy McNickle Distinguished Lecture series, an annual program featuring an American Indian scholar, writer, or artist who consistently demonstrates excellence in their work concerning Indigenous peoples and histories. A reception will start at 5:30, with the lecture following at 6:15. There is no admission charge.
