Tuesdays on the Terrace: Chris Greene

June 25, 2013 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Saxophonist and composer Chris Greene was born in Evanston. He began playing saxophone at 10, and he eventually spent his formative years in the award-winning Evanston High School Wind and Jazz Ensembles. Following college he immersed himself in the regional music scene and has since collaborated with some of the nation’s most creative and versatile musicians. He has performed or recorded with Common, The Temptations, Sheena Easton, Andrew Bird, Jesse De La Pena, Liquid Soul, and The Mighty Blue Kings.

For this concert, Greene performs with Steve Corley (drums), Damian Espinosa (piano), and Marc Piane (bass).

Join MCA for free live jazz concerts every Tuesday. For a more casual evening, bring your own blanket or rent an MCA lawn chair for a relaxing evening on the garden lawn. Hamburgers, house-made sausages and a variety of freshly made salads may be purchased from our outdoor grill along with cold beverages, wine, and seasonal cocktails from the cash bar on the lower terrace.
