ABOUT S+S Project
founded in 2009, is a non-profit, nomadic cultural space located in Chicago, IL that exhibits the work of non-conventional, often marginalized communities in select alternative spaces.
We are working artists and curators creating exhibitions with the support of individual donors and patrons, but mostly with the financial support of a small, artist-led curatorial board that is at the core of s+s project.
We are artists, teachers, food servers, bartenders, retail associates, mechanics, office assistants, nannies and people that work in alternative economies…pretty much all in the same boat that seek opportunities to create rich, meaningful cultural exchange outside of standard academic practices or corporate influences.
We want to lead by example and demonstrate to Chicago and beyond that a self-produced, alternative exhibition model is one still to be valued.
Your donation to HOMOCCULT 2.0 – MEXICO CITY will help strengthen this mission and help us continue this dialogue in a new context.
