SRBCC’s Traveling Baile de Bomba comes to the Old Town School, hosted by Jorge Emmanuelli y el Bomplenazo de Chicago. SRBCC’s signature cultural event is the Traveling Baile de Bomba, launched in 2010. This new initiative took the traditional “Baile de Bomba” to various locations around the city.
To enhance the cultural experience, the event invites a special musical guest to perform different Afro-derived genres. Since 2010, more than 1,500 have joined SRBCC on this traveling initiative. Our special guest this evening will be Jorge Emmanuelli Náter. Jorge’s career expands over 25 years. His work gave birth to what today is considered the new generation of the Bombazos and Plenazos, which exposed his evolution techniques in Bomba and Plena throughout Puerto Rico and the diaspora in the United States.
