The ‘War on Terror’ After Fifteen Years: Global, National and Local Implications. A Keynote by Professor Lisa Hajjar, University of California, Santa Barbara

Join the Social Justice Initiative for the first lecture in the Geographies of Justice Seminar. Professor and author, Lisa Hajjar, will discuss the War on Terror after fifteen years. Following the Keynote, Chicago scholars, artists and activists engaged in work on prisons, policing and security will respond.

Professor Hajjar is an expert human rights, international law, torture, war, and conflict. She is also the author of Courting Conflict: The Israeli Military Court System in the West Bank and Gaza (University of California Press, 2005), Hajjar is currently working on a book about anti-torture lawyering in the United State in the post-9/11 period.
