Mexico City, 1968: As Mexico prepares to host the Olympics, students take to the streets to protest the government’s authoritarian rule. Tensions are running high. Two students from different walks of life fall in love as they become part of this massive movement: upper class Ana Maria and working class Félix. “Tlatelolco, Summer of 68” stylishly and accurately recreates the events that led to one of the darkest chapters in Mexico’s recent history: the massacre at Tlatelolco.
