Hosted by Advocating for Community Empowerment (A.C.E.) and Prodigies of Pride (POP), the evening celebrates young gay, bi and queer men of color, supporting their leadership and sexual health. Free drink tickets will be given to all men age 21-29 who get HIV tested that evening; a free gift will be given to those age 18-20 who get tested. A.C.E. is a program of CALOR. A fixture in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood for many years, CALOR has offered HIV/AIDS prevention and education services since 2001. It is a division of Anixter Center, one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the state supporting individuals with disabilities and other challenges, such as HIV/AIDS.POP brings together youth age 16-24 in the African American, Latino gay, bi and transgender community.
Doors open at 8 p.m. with a reception, followed by a fashion show at 9 p.m. and DJ Dance Party from
10 p.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone must be at least 18 to enter; 21 to drink. Food, beverages, and “naughty”
goodie bags will be provided.
