Textual Healing is a brand new sketch comedy revue from Salsation Theatre Company, NFP that comments on such issues as Latino pride, history and the Latino vote, gentrification, the economy and jobs crisis, gay rights, and the depictions of women in the Bible; and comments satirically on such social issues as sexting and similar recent scandals, the Tea Party, Generation Text, and airport screening. The show includes a fully-improvised telenovela..
The show, directed by John Hildreth, is written and performed by Maria de Jesús Mendoza, Rose Guccione, Matthew Montalvo, Aaron Page, Horacio Ramírez, Nelson Velázquez and Mary Zemaitis with additional material written by Ramon Charriez, Jr., Miguel Lepe, Jr. and Diane Herrera Piña.
