As a movement elected official, I’ve been standing up and fighting back against the powerful corporate interests that control City Hall and Illinois government, and they’ve taken notice.
Whether it’s the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce targeting me with political attack ads, or the Mayor using procedural tricks to block my ordinance that would fund CPS by taxing his rich friends – our movement to put working people first is facing opposition, and as we enter the 2018 and 2019 election cycles that opposition will grow.
That’s why I’m turning to you and asking you to help me fight back by attending my summer fundraiser on Wednesday, June 21st. We can’t trust powerful corporate interests to fund the political revolution, it’s up to you.
Your contribution will help show the rich and powerful corporate interests that when elected officials stand up to the corporate agenda and fight for working people, those elected officials can count on the support of working people to fight back.
As we approach the 2018 election cycle, I’m gearing up to grow the political revolution by supporting progressive candidates up and down the ballot. With your support I helped deliver the 35th Ward’s votes to progressive candidates in 2016, including Bernie Sanders and Kim Foxx. Your contribution will help support my progressive electoral work in 2018, and grow my re-election fund for 2019.
Thank you so much for your continued support! I hope to see you June 21st! -Carlos Ramirez-Rosa
