Chicago Artists’ Coalition presents Starving Artist, pairing four top chefs and artists for a unique sensory experience. Chef and Artist pairs collaborate to create original work (food & art) inspired by one another’s aesthetic. Chefs’ creations will be enjoyed by guests at the event, while artists’ creations will be exhibited and auctioned.
Chef and artist pairs include: Pastry Chef Hillary Blanchard-Rikower of one sixtyblue with Artist Lauren Brescia; Chef de Cuisine Koren Grieveson of avec with Artist Tim Anderson; Executive Chef/Owner Stephanie Izard of Girl & the Goat with Artist Richard Hull; Executive Chef/Owner Randy Zwieban of Province with Artist Judy Ledgerwood.
Additional auction items include:
An intimate tasting adventure through Girl & the Goat’s eclectic menu for two guests at the coveted Chef’s table, including wines specially blended for the restaurant, Chef/Owner Stephanie Izard’s hand crafted Bourbon served as a specialty cocktail and a complimentary bottle of the bourbon for each guest.
Dinner for four at avec with hand-selected dishes by award winning Chef de Cuisine Koren Grieveson, paired with wines chosen by Partner and Sommelier, Eduard Seitan, and completed by an indulging desert prepared by Blackbird/avec Pastry Chef, Bryce Caron.
Private dinner for four guests at Province Restaurant hosted by artists Judy Ledgerwood and Tony Tasset and featuring a special menu created by Executive Chef/Owner Randy Zwieban and served on original pottery pieces by Ledgerwood.
A behind the scenes, one-on-one pastry class and tasting at one sixtyblue with Pastry Chef Hillary Blanchard-Rikower.
