Massage colleges seem to be everywhere and yoga, today, is as common as jogging. Many would be surprised to know that there is an art to healing the body of its stress, tension, and aches. It also aides in clearing ones mental and energy passages. Individuals who perform massage therapy, aromatherapy, compose music, and have strong intuitive hands, or energy sensory understand that there is a process and a passion to what they do. It is most effective when paired with intent, experience, and creativity.” This is the second go-round for Valencia and this particular event. Earlier this year, in July, Valencia hosted the premiere event. Afterwards, guests and vendors proposed a twice-a-year rotation.
Having something like this at the beginning and end of summer allows one to get in that last-minute massage, or to buy a handcrafted soap, or to get a reading that inspires or motivates them. I wanted to bring a unique mix of artisans together in a way that people can benefit without spending a fortune.
The event is hosted in the back patio garden of Valencia’s storefront. There will be artists and artwork, massage therapy, aromatherapy, gifts, music performances, and a live DJ starting at 6pm. There is no cover, but refreshments and some food will be available for purchase. This event is an all ages event, but keep in mind that small children or crying babies may not fit into a “relaxation” theme. Just saying.
