Don Cornelius, the creator and host of Soul Train, the legendary dance party show that made television history and set trends in soul and R&B music, dance, and fashion, makes a special appearance to present this documentary celebrating the show’s 40th anniversary.

Relive those incredible Soul Train days, from Chicago beginnings in 1970 to national fame and influence, with historic footage of artists including Gladys Knight & The Pips, the Staple Singers, Mary Wilson, Stevie Wonder, B.B. King, Elton John, and the unforgettable Soul Train dancers. Interviews include Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Smokey Robinson, Snoop Dogg, Aretha Franklin, and many more.
