Social Justice Symposium will be a one-day conference on social justice topics meant to facilitate learning, personal development, and community building. This will be achieved through workshops, speakers, activities, and interactions that brings together Loyola University Chicago undergraduate/graduate students, faculty, staff and all community members from across the Chicago area.
Social Justice Symposium’s inaugural theme is “Together We Rise”. This Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs-led conference will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 9:00am-5:00pm in Damen Student Center, Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) at Loyola’s Lakeshore campus. The symposium aims to provide workshops, performances, and educational sessions that are focused on the experience of various social identities across higher education. Though geared toward Loyola undergraduate/graduate students, faculty, and staff, we invite folks from other universities (students, faculty, and staff) and non-collegiate community members to present!
