Shashank

May 10, 2011 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Indian classical flute player Shashank has enthralled audiences around the world with the scintillating, primal tones of his ancient instrument. Trained by his father Subramanyam and vocal maestros R.K. Srikantan and Palghat K.V. Narayanaswami, he is presently considered one of the leading Bamboo Flute artists. His logic-defying virtuosity is the result of a magical innate talent coupled with the best possible training. Shashank has propelled the Bamboo flute into an enviable position through “multi-flute transposed fingering, dual-octave production” techniques which have won him world acclaim.
