“Catalyze: Building a Healthy Community” is an eight-week summer workshop series geared towards the wider Argyle and Uptown community of Chicago hosted by Axis Lab.
This summer workshop series aims to provide FREE arts education and yoga classes to local residents, who otherwise may not be able to afford or have access to these programs. It’s also an opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other and cultivate cross-cultural dialogue through the arts by activating their minds, bodies, and spirits.

Sense of Community: Material + Space + People
(Sunprinting/Blueprints Photography Workshop)
Led by Silvia Gonzalez
What does a safe and caring community look, sound, feel like? Together, we will explore the interdependent relationships between material, space, and people. We will reflect the different elements community is built on and use sun printing as a process that leads our discussion.
