Rendezvous for Peru is part of Eat So They Can, an international fundraising campaign that invites citizens of the world to participate in one huge party to benefit programs alleviating child hunger.
Eat So They Can is an initiative of Global Volunteer Network, and Global Volunteer Network Foundation.
Eat So They Can 2010 will raise money to support the immediate needs of developing communities but the goal is to focus on projects that create long-term and sustainable solutions through donations. The four important causes Eat So They Can will target are: orphaned and vulnerable children, women’s empowerment, emergency relief and anti-child trafficking. Rendezvous for Peru’s proceeds will go to Peruvian Hearts, an organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of children living in poverty in Peru through nutrition, education, and health care.
Join us at the Holiday Club for a night of open bar (all beer, wine, and well included), Peruvian food samples, education on the cause, great music/dancing, and a date auction. Ten Chicagoans will be auctioned off with fantastic date packages, donated by local restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. The GRAND auction prize is a weekend trip to New York City, which includes airfare, hostel accommodations, & a gift certificate to a Peruvian restaurant.
Buy your tickets in advance through Pay Pal on the event’s blog – peruparty.wordpress.com – to get the discounted $35 price. Tickets cost $40 at the door.
