Tuesday night, Donald J. Trump, a racist, openly anti-immigrant, misogynist was declared President-elect of the United States. Without a doubt, this is a dark moment for Muslim,
Queer, immigrant, people of color, and working class communities.

Like you, our hearts are heavy with many emotions, and the toll of bearing witness to the great dangers of white supremacy.

As we work to process this election, we ask you that you remember this: Our community is powerful, resilient, and will fight back.

We will continue to organize against deportations, against detention centers, against the criminalization of our communities but, more importantly, we will continue growing and strengthening our local work and our greater movement. The landscape has changed but the fight and our commitment to our communities will continue, and now with much greater force.

We invite you to join us this upcoming Wednesday to a community meeting where we will process together and start planning how to unite and organize to maintain our communities safe, strong and united. We will defend ourselves and our communities. Join us.
