Pitchfork Music Festival 2011

Music aficionados rejoice! Pitchfork Music Festival is back in Union Park this year, taking place Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17th. Tickets for the fest go on sale today, with single-day tickets for $45 and three-day passes for $110: a fairly reasonable price when compared to other 3 day music fests in the U.S.

The lineup has been speculated on forums and blogs for weeks, but this morning, Pitchfork revealed the initial lineup of some of the over 40 artists that will be performing in Union Park this year. Among those released: Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes, TV on the Radio, Cut Copy, the Dismemberment Plan, Deerhunter, Destroyer, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, James Blake, and OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All), Das Racist, Kylesa, Curren$y, Woods, Yuck, and Sun Airway. With many more still to be announced, this year’s lineup seems both eclectic and promising.

Three-day passes have sold out in under a week in the past, so be sure to purchase your tickets soon. As more artists get announced, the faster the tickets will be gone.
