Pilsen Fest 2015

The 5th Annual PILSEN FEST (FORMERLY KNOWN AS UNISONO) is set to take place on August 22nd, 2015 in the historic Pilsen Neighborhood from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The Music, Arts, Food and Culture festival in its 5th year promises to deliver a unique level of quality diverse cultural programming for their beloved community. Pilsen Fest will feature a day of music, art and educational workshops, as well as fun games and activities for families to enjoy. This year Pilsen Fest will boast its biggest star studded musical line up to date including: Hello SeaHorse!, Gaby Moreno, Jenny and the Mexicats.

Local Acts include: Brothers Star Race, Passport Louis, Firago, Boi Jeanius, Charly Glitch, Freddy Phatz
Escuela de Rancho, Population, JC Munguia, Lazers, Gypsy Influence, BBU and many more!
This year Pilsen Fest has added more unique components. First, Local Artist will be collaborating and curating the Pilsen Art Showcase featuring the works of renowned local artists such as Alejandro Romero, Marcos Raya, René Arceo, Nicolás de Jesus, Alma Dominguez, Piloto, and many more.

This year, thanks to the help of El BeiSMan, the Pilsen Fest’s social justice theme is Multiculturalism and Multilingualism: Celebrating a Cultural Renaissance. A variety of symposiums, panel discussions, and workshops will take place as part of the festival addressing and discussing the diversity of culture and language in our society today; in particular some of discussions will examine how Pilsen as a community embodies a rebirth of ideas and cultural movements. Workshops and panels will take place at the Rudy Lozano Public Library.
