5 years ago, 150 people showed up in a bar on Chicago’s north side to hear a bunch of little lectures and drink. By and large, they’d been nagged by friends to show up and see what this was about. A couple of people came to see rock star architect and PechaKucha founder mark Dytham who came in from Tokyo to kick things off.
Half a decade later, we’ve done 21 of these at Martyrs, not to mention a couple of special events to support relief efforts in Haiti and Japan. We’ve taken a couple of road trips, and proudly parented offspring in Champaign-Urbana, Springfield, Milwaukee. We are working on impregnating Rockford.
Come and celebrate our coming of age party on Tuesday March 6th as we celebrate 21. As usual, it’ll be a party, and you’ll meet some very cool people for some face to face interaction.
