April 8, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Employing a wide range of mediums, the work of Eric J. Garcia, Salvador Jimenez-Flores, Nicole Marroquin and Gabriel Villa offers a common ground for civic discourse on matters of public policy, social justice, and education relevant to Pilsen and beyond.

Their work is also informed by both the past and present, and considers what it means to come from two different cultures. In doing so Garcia, Jimenez-Flores, Marroquin and Villa propose an alternate reality familiar to many Latinos living in this country–that of being neither here nor there, but in between. It is this duality that gives the artists in this exhibition agency to transcend barriers, and weave their own story, and in the process shed light on our current state of affairs.
