Latino Panethnic Politics in Chicago: Social Activism and Grassroots Origins

Lilia Fernandez, author of Brown in the Windy City: Mexicans and Puerto Ricans in Postwar Chicago and Associate Professor in history at The Ohio State University, will present a paper entitled “Latino Panethnic Politics in Chicago: Social Activism and Grassroots Origins.” Simón Weffer-Elizondo of NIU’s department of sociology will respond.
