About Latino Techies

Latino Techies is the first tech network in Chicago for Latino millennials. Despite Latinos’ affinity for consuming technology, only 7 percent of the STEM workforce is Latino. We want to do our part to change that. The mission of Latino Techies is to transform our community to see tech in a new way, not just as consumers but as creators of technology.

Through our programming, including coding workshops on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and digital and social media, Latino Techies will:
• empower Latinos in the latest technology tools to grow personally and professionally
• leverage these skills to empower our communities and inspire the next generation of Latino techies
