Latino Films in ADIFF Chicago 2015

June 13, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$8 - $10

June 12 to 18, 2015

Chicago ADIFF-2015 has a very interesting Latino flavor with an African filmmaker talking about the Afro-Latino Experience in Argentina and Uruguay, two women directors of Mexican descent telling stories of colorism in two Indigenous communities, one in New Zealand and the other in Texas; two films about the Garifunas, a group of African descendants that live in Honduras, Saint Vincent and other countries in the area; a double feature program about the African retention in religious practices in Cuba and Brazil and, last but not least, the remarkable work of the Afro-Cuban filmmaker Gloria Rolando about the Haitian presence in Cuba. A total of nine titles that gives Chicago-ADIFF 2015 a very particular Latino flavor!
