Enjoy your yoga practice basked in the light
of the full moon with the sounds of the lake lapping at the shore.
A full moon appears as an entire illuminated circle in the sky when the Earth is between the Sun and the Moon. It represents plentitude, abundance, and generous blessings.
The gravitational interaction between the Earth and the Moon cause periodic rises and falls of large bodies of water, or tides. Human beings are about 70% water; therefore, it is believed that the moon influences the mind and the sensations of every human. These influences parallel the energy of the breath cycle.
The full moon energy corresponds to the end of inhalation when the force of prana is greatest. This is an expansive, upward moving force that makes us feel energetic, emotional, and more headstrong. Practicing yoga under the full moon is the perfect opportunity to invoke creativity, peace and wellbeing.
